Football legends are a safe bet!

Football fans are a key target for betting brands and football legends are a fantastic way to engage with them and to attract their attention. We have seen it over the years and most recently with a couple of examples coming from Spain. Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes and FC Barcelona Brazilian legend Rivaldo have endorsement deals with Marca Apuestas and Betfair, respectively. We have recently seen how brands activated both partnerships and gained visibility through their ambassadors via printed ads and articles on Spanish newspaper Marca.

The first one, Morientes, can be seen on an ad promoting Marca Apuestas above these lines, whereas the second one, Rivaldo, gave an exclusive interview to the newspaper while attending an event organized by Betfair. The interview was published by Marca with a branded picture from the event.
