Clint Dempsey joins Oberto Brands
Oberto Brands has signed American soccer star Clint Dempsey to endorse its line of beef jerky products.
The Seattle Sounders and US national team midfielder will appear in the multi-platform ‘Oberto America’s PROtein’ campaign, promoting the benefits of eating lean jerky as part of an active lifestyle. The 31-year-old will feature in press and point-of-sale imagery.
Dempsey will be joined in the campaign by the former National Football League linebacker Brian Urlacher, a former Chicago Bears star who shares Washington state roots with Seattle-based Oberto.
“Oberto’s all natural jerky provides me the protein I need to take on a tough practice and get through a match going into stoppage time,” said Dempsey. “Protein plays an important role in my sports nutrition and when I’m looking for a better-for-me type food on the go.”
Greg Yahn, the vice president of marketing for Oberto Brands, said: “Adding the support of Brian and Clint to our Oberto America’s PROtein movement bolsters the brand’s presence across more sports and brings our message to more consumers. This team of top athletes believes in inspiring people to get the most out of themselves by living active lifestyles and snacking better with All Natural Oberto Beef Jerky.”
The Oberto campaign already features snowboarder Louie Vito and celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.
