Chelsea FC players play real-life FIFA 17 skill games
As part of the partnership between club and brand, EA and Chelsea recently collaborated to make a real-life skill video. With the objective to generate some unique and entertaining content for the brand, Chelsea players Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, N’Golo Kanté, Batshuayi, Zouma and Chalobah played real-life FIFA 17 skill games. For this particular video, the skill game consisted in trying to shoot the ball into three different buckets and accumulate points to see who was the most accurate player.
The players split into two different teams, team Belgium with Courtois, Hazard and Batshuayi and team rest of the world with the other three players. After 3 rounds Team rest of the world beat team Belgium. For some of the players this was the first time participating in a FIFA17 campaign, others like Eden Hazard have worked with FIFA17 in several occasions.
This was great promotion for both Chelsea and FIFA17, and the video got more than 700k views on Youtube in just a couple of weeks. Real life football challenges are becoming very popular and other Youtubers are imitating this kind of challenges. People are asking EA to come up with more skill challenges for the game, so they can try them in real life.
