This one is a good example of how brands take advantage of their associations with football players to gain exposure, raise awareness and generate good content.

Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas is the star of a new ad by Beats by Dre, in which the midfielder is seen using the headphones to block out the sound of rival Real Madrid fans.

Despite being entirely fictional, this campaign around the clash against Real Madrid was particularly controversial and it even led to FCB’s president stating that the club didn’t agree with the message the brand was transmitting and asking the brand to remove the ad.
