Beckham reunites legends in Unicef’s ‘Match for Children’
The activity of David Beckham for Unicef – world’s leading organization for the development of children that operates in 190 countries around the world – has been well-known for a decade, during which the English superstar has participated in many programs worldwide with the aim of raising money for the Organization.
David Beckham has recently celebrated his 10th anniversary as Unicef’s global ambassador. The best way to celebrate it? Organising a football match with football legends to raise money for children.
Many figures were involved specially from Manchester United, Beckham’s former club. Players like Giggs, Solskjaer, Scholes, Nicky Butt, Edwin van der Sar and Dwight Yorke played again at Old Traford. Also top players like Ronaldinho and Luis Figo participated in the match.
Unicef has also launched a website absolutely dedicated to the task and projects of Beckham with the Foundation: www.7.org
