Betting brands trust former players
Betting brands like Unibet and Bet4TheBest have recently announced new partnerships with former players Glenn Hoddle and Jermaine Jenas to promote the brands. The former has partnered with Glenn Hoddle, who will become the face of the company’s football betting offering while providing insights and betting tips through Unibet’s digital channels, as well as appearing in its video content throughout the 2015/16 season.
Bet4TheBest, on the other hand, will work with former Tottenham and England midfielder Jermain Jenas as a brand ambassador after having recently launched in the UK. Bet4theBest allows contestants to bet on a range of competitions, including standard games and one-on-one challenges, with results determined on fantasy points after the final whistle.
Betting is a category banned for active players in the UK so brands must use former players if they want to use football to promote themselves.
