Videogame companies are regular users of the “exclusive branded interview” formula to promote their games. Brands like EA or Ubisoft are aware that football is the most popular sport and that anything football players say attracts the attention of thousands of people. That’s the reason why videogame companies choose this path to promote their games and to support new launches.
In this occasion, EA chose England’s striker Harry Kane to promote Madden 16 and Activision decided to work with Hector Bellerín to promote Call of Duty.
