David Luiz renews with Vivo
PSG’s defender David Luiz has renewed his personal endorsement contract with telecommunications company Vivo in Brazil.
The Brazilian defender will continue to serve as a spokesman for the telecoms firm for the next two years, with the role set to include appearances in advertisements and at company events.
Last year David Luiz appeared in Vivo’s marketing around the Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup, featuring in a series of advertisements alongside fellow national team players Hulk and Bernard (see video below these lines). He will now star in a new campaign intended to grow the company’s social media profile.
Vivo, owned by Telefónica Group, is a prominent backer of football in Brazil. Earlier this year it also extended its sponsorship deal with the Confederation of Brazilian Football (CBF) until 2023.
