Watch specialist Cecil Purnell welcomes Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti has been hired as a global brand ambassador for Swiss watch brand Cecil Purnell. The manager has signed a three-year deal to endorse the brand and assist in the design of a range of limited edition timepieces each year.

The deal was formalised at the Intercontinental Hotel in Madrid and in his new role the manager agreed to be involved in the design process at Cecil Purnell, designing ten limited edition pieces bearing his name each year as well as joining the brand at key events throughout the calendar.

Ancelotti, who is said to be an avid watch enthusiast, said he was “looking forward” to the role, while Jonathan Purnell, who founded the company in his grandfather’s name added: “Carlo is a true gentleman who shares a passion and respect for his craft.

“He is the best in his field and his fortitude as well as integrity will be welcomed by the brand. This promises to be an exciting partnership”.

Earlier this year, Ancelotti‘s predecessor at Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho, agreed a deal to endorse Hublot watches.
